WHAT DOES PHRESH DO?
There are moments in life where you aren't so sure if your milk is okay to drink. pHresh is your perfect tool to save the day! This handy device allows you to test your milk without the uncomfortable experience that usually accompanies it.
WHY DO YOUÂ NEED THIS?
Milk is such a fundamental aspect of most American households. We drink milk in our morning coffee, cereal, even sometimes just a plain old cup of milk. Sometimes you don't realize that your milk is spoiled and drink from it anyways. What would happen if you would ingest spoiled milk? Drinking milk that is spoiled can cause food poisoning that may result in uncomfortable digestive symptoms, such as vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and stomach pain. pHresh is an easy solution for this very serious milk problem:)
Hill, Ansley. What Is Spoiled Milk Good For, and Can You Drink It?, healthline, 21 Aug. 2019,
HOW PHRESH WORKS?
Utilizing the Arduino pH sensor, we were able to code the specific parameters of milk, so it will tell you whether it is spoiled or safe to drink. The device is a rod that you stick into the liquid, and after a few moments it notifies you with a red or green light it's results. Green for fresh and red for spoiled!
*In the future we would like to expand this project's idea and add a push button. This button will change the setting from testing the pH for milk- to water. We would also add a screen to the device so it can infrom you of the specific pH of the liquid.
